SUCCESS OF YOUNG SCIENTISTS FROM PUT IN 2022 START COMPETITION

The Foundation for Polish Science announced the results of the competition for the prestigious 2022 START scholarship. The competition is a prestigious award for the most talented young researchers, granted in recognition of their scientific achievements. The competition is open to researchers from all fields who in the year of application are under 30 years of age.

A total of 100 scholarships were awarded, seven of which were awarded to scientists from the Poznan University of Technology:

PUT AMONG THE SIGNATORIES TO THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE 3W INTERDISCIPLINARY INNOVATION CENTER

The Interdisciplinary Innovation Centre will popularize the idea of 3W (Water, Hydrogen, Coal), and a friendly ecosystem will be created to support the exchange of knowledge or obtain support for projects aimed at the synergy of water, hydrogen, and modern carbon technologies.

The preamble during the Impact'22 Congress was signed by, among others: Beata Daszyńska-Muzyczka, the president of BGK, Piotr Dardziński, the president of the Łukasiewicz Research Network, prof. Teofil Jesionowski, the rector of the Poznan University of Technology.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE COURSE

ENGLISH LANGUAGE COURSE in the framework of the Programme Solidarity with Ukraine of National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA)

We invite Ukrainian students who are interested in continuing their studies at Poznan University of Technology to attend an English language course.

INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOPS ON STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT

The international workshops on strategic management were held at the Faculty of Engineering Management on the days 25-29 April 2022. The meeting was attended by prof. Paweł Śniatała, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, and EUNICE Project Leader; prof. Stefan Trzcieliński - project manager "International Workshop on Strategic Management"; prof. Joanna Kałkowska, director of the Institute of Management and Information Systems of the Faculty of Engineering Management and Paweł Królas, PhD from the Department of Management Systems - co-organizer of the workshop.

Delegation of the Embassy of Rwanda in Warsaw at PUT

On the 28th of April 2022, Poznan University of Technology had a pleasure to host a visit of the representation of the newly opened Embassy of Rwanda in Warsaw. The initiative to establish the Embassy was completed in October 2021 as a response to the increasing number of Rwandan citizens arriving to Poland, mostly in order to start, or to continue their higher education. Until now, their issues were attended by the Embassy in Berlin.

LUCKY SEVEN – THE POZNAN UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY AT THE TOP OF CWUR

The Poznan University of Technology is on the list of the best universities classified in the latest edition of the world ranking the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR). The CWUR ranking is based on indicators grouped in four areas: quality of education, employment of graduates, quality of faculties and research results.

The ranking presents 2,000 universities from all over the world, including 40 institutions from Poland. The Poznan University of Technology took 7th place among Polish technical universities.

#PPWSPIERAMUKRAINE - SUMMARY OF ACTIONS

The event was created on the Facebook page of the PUT, the information also appeared on the main webpage of the Poznan University of Technology in the section News and on posters around the campus of our university.

Initially, the fundraising activities were carried out at the University's Cultural Center. Later on, the students from at the students from the Students’ Union and the PROgressio PROmotio Scientific Organization served and assisted newcomers at the Sports Center.

Prof. Kay Hameyer is a Doctor Honoris Causa of the PUT

The new honorary doctor of the Poznan University of Technology is a scientist known and recognized all over the world. He is constantly invited to deliver lectures at many prestigious universities worldwide. Prof. Kay Hameyer was born on June 20, 1958, in Hanover. After graduating from secondary school, and completing military service followed by an industrial internship, he started studies at the University of Hanover in the field of electrical engineering.
