Technologies developed by interdisciplinary teams of prof. Krystyna Prochaska, Bartosz Wieczorek, PhD and Jan Górecki, PhD were appreciated during the fourth edition of the E-NNOVATE International Invention and Innovation Fair, which was held on May 30-31, 2023 at the Bydgoszcz University of Technology. The effects of the scientific activity of PUT teams were submitted in Zero Waste Technologies and Healthcare/Fitness categories, with the support of the Centre for Technology Transfer of PUT.

During the International Conference on Robotics and Automation, the largest robotic conference held in London, the 11th edition of the International F1THENTH competition was organized.22 teams from Europe, Asia and North America qualified for the finals. The team from the Poznan University of Technology composed of Grzegorz Czechmanowski, Jan Węgrzynowski, Tomasz Kaproń, and Amadeusz Szymko under the supervision of Krzysztof Walas, PhD took third place.

Bartosz Ciupek, Grzegorz Miebs and Witold Stachowiak will receive the financial support. The competition received 86 applications, including 68 for a Scholarship and 18 for a Scientific Award. By the decision of the Jury, 12 scholarships for young researchers and one Scientific Award were awarded.

On June 5, a meeting of the board of the EUNICE AISBL organization, of which our university is a signatory, took place at the Poznan University of Technology. EUNICE AISBL is a Belgian non-profit organization uniting universities as part of the European University Eunice.

The hosts of the meeting were Rector, prof. Teofil Jesionowski, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Paweł Śniatała, prof. PP.

The Poznan University of Technology hosted the awards ceremony for the EUNICE Start Cup winners on Monday, June 5. The local stage of the competition was carried out in the frame of WP5 task "EUNICE Imagine Innovation Cup".

On June 6 at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, during the meeting of the Vice-Rectors for Research and Development of public technical universities, an agreement was signed on cooperation of Polish technical universities in the field of project management - Technical Universities Project Management Offices Forum [TUPMO Forum].

20 technical universities signed the agreement. The partners declared their willingness to cooperate in project management.

The principal obligations outlined in the Agreement are:

Joint research, projects, and production work – the Poznan University of Technology signed a cooperation agreement with PozLab. The agreement provides for the mutual sharing of research facilities, knowledge transfer and commercialisation. The company's resources will also be available to students and graduates who will pursue internships there. The Poznan University of Technology will also benefit from the partner's knowledge and experience in the field of education and study programme.

The graduation ceremony was held at the Presidential Palace. Piotr Kuwałek, PhD became the winner of this year's edition of the "Young Promoter of Poland" competition in the category of scientific activity. In the "Young Promoter of Poland" competition, under the honorary patronage of the Polish first lady Agata Kornhauser-Duda, winners were selected in three categories. In the field of cultural activity, the award was received by violinist Zuzanna Budzyńska, in the field of sports the winner was Katarzyna Zdziebło, an athlete.

On May 30, 2023, during the ITM Industry Europe Fair at Poznan International Fair, the 16th Engineering Forum organized by NOT and SIMP was held - 9th Mechanics Day under the slogan " Young people’s innovative offer".
