We are delighted to announce that prof. Mateusz Barczewski, and  prof. Łukasz Klapiszewski, researchers from Poznan University of Technology, have been awarded the prestigious Division IV Technical Sciences Awards of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) for 2024. This recognition highlights their outstanding contributions to the advancement of technical sciences and the practical applications of their research.

The National Science Centre (NCN) has announced the results of the OPUS 27 and PRELUDIUM 23 competitions. As many as thirteen researchers from Poznań University of Technology have received funding for projects!

Winners of the OPUS 27 competition:

The Coalition for Polish Innovation (KPI) has launched the "Science Leaders Board" (SLB) program, aimed at enhancing Poland's visibility worldwide as a source of global innovations. The initiative connects business leaders with scientific leaders, creating a collaborative space that supports the development of Polish science and technology. 

The program was created in collaboration with some of Poland's largest technology investors, including Intel, Orange, Google, Dell, Ericsson, and Flex. 

This year's edition of the Ulam NAWA Program has been decided.

The list of foreign scholarship holders also includes Shuang Shu, PhD (Hohai University, China), who will conduct his postdoctoral internship and research in the field of "Progressive degradation mechanism and analysis method of the interface between marine soft clay and anti-pull-out foundations" at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Transport, under the supervision of Prof. Wojciech Sumelka - Vice-Rector for Science.

Tallinn Summer School, organized since 2006, is a 3-week program from 14.07.2025 to 3.08.2025.

The game Capture the Flag, entitled “PUT CTF: Web Security Challenge”, is about putting knowledge of cybersecurity and vulnerabilities in web systems (web applications) into practice in order to capture a hidden password-key called a ‘flag’. In a nutshell, it is a puzzle for all cybersecurity enthusiasts. 

According to the European Patent Office report on new technologies originating from universities, Germany, France, Great Britain and Italy are the leaders in terms of the total number of academic patent applications.

The results of the first edition of The Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2025, developed by the Times Higher Education (The) in cooperation with Schmidt Science Fellows were presented.

The National Science Centre has announced the ranking list of the MINIATURA 8 competition (for applications submitted in July this year).

We are pleased to announce that Krzysztof Dziarski, PhD from the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Energy has been included in the list of laureates of the eighth edition of the MINIATURA 8 competition of the National Science Centre. The project entitled Automatic verification of the tightening of a screwed busbar connection based on a thermogram received very high marks from experts.
