MANUFACTURING 2024 Conference

On May 14-16, 2024, the 8th edition of the international MANUFACTURING conference, organized by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, took place at the Poznan University of Technology. 191 participants from 21 countries registered for the event. The conference was opened by prof. Olaf Ciszak, Dean of the Military Institute of Medicine, prof/ Michał Wieczorowski, Vice-Rector for Development and Cooperation with Business and Industry, and prof. Adam Hamrol, General Chair of the conference. The opening ceremony was hosted by Magdalena Hryb, PhD. Plenary lectures were delivered by prof.

Doctorate Honoris Causa of prof. Bogusław Buszewski

"The Academic Senate of the Poznan University of Technology, appreciating the scientific, teaching and organizational achievements of prof. Bogusław Buszewski, a member of The Polish Academy of Sciences and the broadly understood cooperation with our university decided to award this outstanding representative of the world of science with the title of DOCTOR HONORIS CAUSA OF THE POZNAN UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY."

Digitalization in Mechanical Engineering – yet another task behind us!

The project "Digitalization in Mechanical Engineering" is financed by the National Agency for Academic Exchange and implemented at the Institute of Material Technology at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Poznan University of Technology under the supervision of Justyna Trojanowska, PhD. The project supports scientific research carried out by Poznan University of Technology employees in cooperation with the Faculty of Technical Systems and Energy Efficient Technologies, Sumy State University (Ukraine).

Celebration of the 25th anniversary of the English Language Olympiad of Technical Universities

This year, the Final of the XXV Olympiad took place together with the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Olympiad. The celebration of the 25th edition of the English Language Olympiad of Technical Universities was attended by many distinguished guests, sponsors of the Olympiad over the years, former winners of the Olympiad, former coordinators of this linguistic event, who willingly shared their memories and experiences. "25 years have passed" is the motto of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Olympics.

AMP – rowing – PUT on the podium!

“There is no doubt that Bydgoszcz is considered a city of water sports. The best kayakers and rowers, including academic ones, visit the Brda River every year. And student rowing has once again come to Bydgoszcz, which has been organizing AMPs in this discipline for years. This year's edition again gathered a large group of rowing enthusiasts. Nearly 270 rowers representing 24 universities registered their participation in the AMP.

Prof. Mieczysław Kuczma Honorary Professor of the Lublin University of Technology

On Monday, May 13, during the celebration of the 71st anniversary of the Lublin University of Technology, the title of Honorary Professor of the Lublin University of Technology was awarded to prof. Mieczysław Kuczma.

 

Prof. Kuczma is a specialist in the field of civil engineering and transport who has been cooperating with the Lublin University of Technology for 20 years.

 

Poznan University of Technology among the best universities in the world in the CWUR 2024 ranking

The latest Center for World University Rankings 2024 (CWUR 2024) has been published, in which the Poznań University of Technology is classified in the group of 7.3% of the best universities and scientific institutions in the world.

A ranking list presenting the 2,000 best research centres in the world, out of almost 21,000 institutions assessed was based on indicators taking into account the quality of education, employment of graduates, quality of scientific staff and research results.
