On August 10th, 2013 the Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda, prof. Anastase SHYAKA visited the university.

The project "Strengthening scientific cooperation between the Poznan University of Technology and Sumy State University in the field of mechanical engineering", financed by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange, is being implemented at the Institute of Materials Technology at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

We are pleased to inform you that prof. Jacek Błażewicz was nominated as a member of Academia Europaea - a prestigious European scientific organisation established in 1988 on the initiative of The Royal Society of London (https://www.ae-info.org).

On July 14, 2023, in the building of the Faculty of Architecture and the Faculty of Engineering Management, an exhibition of student works "We design for Ukraine" was held. It was a summary of summer internships held in July at the Faculty of Architecture of the Poznan University of Technology.

QS World University Rankings listed Poznan University of Technology among the top 22 universities in Poland.

The Poznan University of Technology was ranked twelfth in the ranking of academic universities in 2023 prepared by the Perspektywy Education Foundation. The jury awarded our university with the AWANS 2023 Special Award for the university that made the most spectacular jump to the top .The award was received by prof. Agnieszka Misztal, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Education.

PUT is the sixth place among technical universities.

In the ranking of fields of study:

The Railway Competition took place on June 23-25 at the Stapleford Miniature Railway. The competition is organized by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. The locomotive of students from Poznan presented the greatest reliability, and the team set a record for replacing the energy source.

On June 26-28, 2023, a meeting of the Rectors of Poznan universities with the Rectors and staff involved in higher education and research in Bavaria was held. It was the second meeting. The first one was held in July 2022 in Bavaria.

The university representative attended the Spaceport America Cup 2023 from June 19-24. The competition took place at Spaceport America in New Mexico. 158 teams from 24 countries took part in them, including our team with the HEXA 4 hybrid rocket, which competed in the highest category, so its goal was to reach a ceiling of over 9 km.
