We are happy to announce that our satellite ground station, located at Piotrowo campus, is now fully tested and operational. It can be used for communications with Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites, using amateur VHF/UHF bands.

The station is equipped with two high-gain Yagi-Uda antennas, powered by ICOM IC-9700 transceiver. For signal reception SDR receivers (FunCube Dongle & USRP B210) are used. The antennas are installed on rotators which can track the fast moving objects on the sky.

Prof. Sławomir Rosolski, was awarded in the category WIELKOPOLSKA MAN OF THE YEAR IN CONSTRUCTION for 2022. The statuette of Roger Slawski is granted by the Wielkopolska Chamber of Construction to distinguished companies and persons for construction in the region.

Training staff for the nuclear power industry is the main assumption of the letter of intent signed by Przemysław Czarnek, the Minister of Education and Science, Daniel Obajtek, the President of the Management Board of PKN Orlen and six rectors of technical universities, including prof. Teofil Jesionowski, the Rector of the Poznan University of Technology.

On Tuesday, January 17, at the Poznan University of Technology, students and lecturers, who participate in Chinese language courses, joined the tradition of celebrating the Chinese New Year.

Accelerating the development and innovation of technologies and operational solutions in the railway industry - is the main goal of Europe's Rail JU Partnership (Joint European Railway Undertaking). Scientists from the Poznan University of Technology (Faculty of Civil and Transport Engineering and Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Energy) will also participate in the project.

The Poznan University of Technology hosted the qualifications for the SkillsPoland 2023 Electronics competition. Eight persons selected from twenty-one participating in the pre-qualifiers took part in the competition.

On 18.01.2023, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Poznań University of Technology (PP Lecture Center, room 4) will host Start Cup Day – an Entrepreneurship Day, combined with the announcement of the EUNICE Start Cup competition for the best start-up among students of universities affiliated within EUNICE European University.

During the event, in addition to announcing details of the competition, the idea of EUNICE European University will be introduced.

The '"Resilience of Education: Sustainability and Cooperation for Ukrainian Universities" project, whose partner is Poznan University of Technology, received funding from the Swedish Institute and will be implemented in 2023-2024. The project is intended to contribute to the support of higher education institutions in Ukraine during the war. The coordinator of the project is Uppsala University, managing the Baltic University Programme.

Augmented reality and remote participation aimed at improving the quality of life of people susceptible to social exclusion due to age, health or family situation - scientists from the Poznan University of Technology, together with universities from seven European countries, thanks to the XR Programs and Research Fund, will undertake research aimed at to verify how metaverse technologies will affect privacy, security, inclusion and the future of work in a changing society.
