ANNOUNCEMENT - COVID-19

On November 26, 2021, a weekly meeting of CRASP Coordinators for counteracting the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic was held. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science and the President of the Students' Parliament of the Republic of Poland.

The PUT and Wielton S.A. cooperation

The cooperation agreement signed today by the Poznan University of Technology with Wielton S.A. comprises cooperation in the field of education for the needs of current technical challenges, joint R&D projects, implementation of master and doctoral theses. The agreement was signed by the Rector, prof. Teofil Jesionowski and Vice-president of the Wielton Management Board, Piotr Kuś.

Wojciech Weiss as the official patron of the sports hall of the university Sports Center

The ceremony was attended by family and prof. Teofil Jesionowski, Rector of the Poznań University of Technology as well as sports activists and former university employees. Wojciech Weiss was an athlete, coach and activist of AZS Poznan. He organized countless sporting events. He was the head of the WFiS Study, then he became the director of the Sports Center of the Poznań University of Technology. He was also the honorary member of AZS.

A STUDENT OF THE FACULTY OF ARCHITECTURE WON AN INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION

Małgorzata Andrzejewska took third place in a student design competition "Breaking the Cycle. Designing for a Community Justice Center".

The competition was organized by the Canadian Academy of Architecture for Justice. Małgorzata, a student of architecture, presented a work entitled Community Spot (Nowy Sącz, Poland). The project was carried out as part of the Workplace Design classes under the supervision of architect Xia Wei.

Scientists from the Poznan University of Technology are among the most cited in the world

32 researchers from the Poznan University of Technology were listed among the most influential scientists in the world. The list, prepared by the Stanford University in cooperation with Elsevier and SciTech Strategies, is published in the PLOS Biology journal.

The list for 2020 included over 100.000 top - scientists who were assessed on such criteria as citations, h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator.
