Poznan University of Technology Moves Up in the QS Sustainability Rankings 2026

In the QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2026, Poznan University of Technology achieved a position in the 1031–1040 range worldwide (up from 1501+) and is among the 26 Polish universities included in the ranking.

The QS Sustainability Rankings assess universities’ commitment to sustainable development in three key areas: Environmental Impact, Social Impact, and Governance. Poznan University of Technology received its highest score in the Governance category, ranking 862nd worldwide (and 4th among Polish technical universities in this category).

The event was opened by the Rector of Poznan University of Technology, Prof. Teofil Jesionowski, PhD, DSc, Eng., who emphasized the importance of investing in education and encouraged young people to push boundaries and cultivate curiosity about the world. “The university is a place to realize dreams,” noted Rector Jesionowski.

Prof. Maria Mrówczyńska, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, highlighted that Dr. Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski is an outstanding personality—not only a scientist but also someone who generously shares his achievements.

TAIWANESE BUSINESS DELEGATION AT POZNAN UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY

On 15 November 2025, Poznan University of Technology hosted a delegation of entrepreneurs and representatives of research institutes from Taiwan, as well as representatives of the Taiwan–Poland Chamber of Commerce, including its President, Ms Agnieszka Sygitowicz, and representatives of the CLIP Group, including its President, Ms Agnieszka Hipś, and Director Mr Marcin Fabianowicz. The special guest was the Deputy Mayor of the City of Poznan, Mr Mariusz Wiśniewski.
