EUNICE General Assembly

On February 14-16, the partner institution, the University of Vaasa hosted an international project meeting of the EUNICE consortium, during which the partners of the EUNICE European University met to plan the upcoming activities of the consortium and summarize the recently submitted application to the European Commission for the next 4 years of financing the initiative European University.

Prof. Wojciech Sumelka, Vice-rector for Research at the Poznan University of Technology was awarded for significant achievements in the field of scientific activity;

Prof. Sławomir Rosolski, and prof.. Edward Szczechowiak received the award for the implementation of an original design achievement based on the implementation of a nearly zero-energy building of the Faculty of Architecture and the Faculty of Engineering Management of the Poznan University of Technology

PUT will host the "Foreign Students in Poland 2024"conference

Internationalization is one of Poland's most important elements in developing higher education and science. The exchange of good practices and ideas, the establishment of relationships and open discussion of the leaders about the challenges and difficulties are the factors of progress in the field of internationalization. A great platform for such an exchange of experiences, as well as summaries and analyses of implemented activities, is the conference "Foreign Students in Poland".

The results of the Bekker Program have been announced. Out of 355 applicants, 77 scholarship holders will receive funding. One of the scholarship holders is the representative of the Poznan University of Technology - Wojciech Marciniak, M.Sc, pursuing doctoral studies at the Faculty of Materials Engineering and Technical Physics.

The PUT and the Polish Alternative Fuels Association signed the cooperation agreement

The aims of the agreement on research, development and didactic cooperation are, among others: a substantive partnership in supporting the implementation of joint programs, projects, scientific, research, development and implementation of European and national projects. Moreover, cooperation will be used to transfer knowledge, which is crucial for future market needs during the transformation.

our satellite ground station, is now fully tested and operational

We are happy to announce that our satellite ground station, located at Piotrowo campus, is now fully tested and operational. It can be used for communications with Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites, using amateur VHF/UHF bands.

The station is equipped with two high-gain Yagi-Uda antennas, powered by ICOM IC-9700 transceiver. For signal reception SDR receivers (FunCube Dongle & USRP B210) are used. The antennas are installed on rotators which can track the fast moving objects on the sky.
