Prof. Roman Słowiński is a world authority in the field of operations research.
Thanks to his ground-breaking methodological achievements, he has shaped research in various fields, in particular in the field of computer-aided decision-making. His research has applications in medicine, pharmacology, engineering and economics.

On April 3-4, 2023, the "Focus on Ukraine" conference was held, organized by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange.
The competition for the best start-up is addressed to students and PhD students of the Poznan University of Technology who have an active student status in the academic year 2022/2023.
The EUNICE Start Cup competition is a unique opportunity for students to present their idea for a start-up, gain practical knowledge in the field of writing a business plan or raising funds for business activity (mentoring, workshops), as well as a chance to win many prizes:
Orientation day is a regular meeting, organized for foreign students by the International Relations Office. The event yearly attracts a lot of interest thanks to the presence of different guests from the university and outside it. New coming students can listen to presentations about the legalization of stay, study regulations and where to look for help in case of finding themselves in a dangerous situation. They also have the opportunity to learn about the offer of the city of Poznan for foreign students, exchanges under the Erasmus + program and European university EUNICE.
The results of the latest edition of the international ranking QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023 have been published, in which the Poznan University of Technology was classified into three subject categories.
The Poznan University of Technology was ranked in the 351-400 best universities in the world in the Mechanical, Aeronautical & Manufacturing Engineering category (the list included 9 Polish universities).

To celebrate its 70th anniversary, the Centre of Languages and Communication invites all PUT students and academics to an open lecture by Agata Janicka, M.A., “Language matters: on inclusive language and language awareness”.
On February 21-23, the meeting on "Cybersecurity for and with EUNICE" was held at Poznan University of Technology (PUT). The meeting was organized as part of the EUNICE European University project and the project of Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange - Strategic Partnership Programme (NAWA). The Beneficiaries of the NAWA projects are: PUT together with the University of Mons, the University of Catania and Brandenburg University of Technology.
