Lecture “EMI – university teachers’ and students’ perspective”

The lecture is divided into two parts. The first part discusses the concept of EMI at PUT from the academic teachers’ perspective focusing particular on their needs, expectations, skills and requirements. The speech will also introduce projects (NAWA, BAGDE, EUNICE) implemented at the Centre of Languages and Communication, which can be a valuable support for lecturers conducting classes in English.

MORE SPIN-OFFS OF THE PUT

Politechnika Innovation, a special-purpose vehicle of the Poznan University of Technology, became a shareholder of GMW and Sky Robot Factory at the end of April 2023 in order to support start-ups of scientists in the development of technology in the field of automation and robotics.

PUT GRADUATES AND PHD STUDENTS AMONG THOSE AWARDED BY THE CITY OF POZNAN

Awards in this year's competition "Award of the City of Poznan for an outstanding doctoral thesis" and "Award of the City of Poznan for an outstanding master's thesis" were given to Artur Jędrzak, Agnieszka Kasińska-Andruszkiewicz, Piotr Kuwałek, Piotr Jaworski, Marita Pigłowska, Jakub Raczyński.

Six authors of theses defended at the Poznan University of Technology were among the awarded and distinguished:

CONFERENCE OF RECTORS OF UNIVERSITIES OF POLAND AND UZBEKISTAN

The event was devoted to outlining the strategy for developing higher education in Poland and Uzbekistan. It was attended by 50 rectors and representatives of institutions in the field of education in both countries. The conference’s aim was to define the key areas of progress in social, political and cultural issues, cooperation in education and exchange of experience in science and innovation. The universities signed a number of letters of intent regarding student and academic staff exchange.

International Workshop on Strategic Management

On 17-21 April 2023, the "International Workshop on Strategic Management" was held at the Faculty of Engineering Management. In three editions of the project (2021-2023), 109 students and 10 professors from foreign universities, as well as students and academic staff from the Faculty of Engineering Management participated in the workshops.

Scientists from the Poznan University of Technology were among the best researchers in the world in the ranking presented by the Research.com academic platform. As a result, the Poznan University of Technology was classified in five disciplines, including the first place in the national ranking in the categories: Computer Science and Materials Science.

THE PUT AND THE NATIONAL LABOUR INSPECTION TOGETHER ABOUT WORK SAFETY

The Rector of the Poznan University of Technology prof. Teofil Jesionowski, along with the District Labor Inspector in Poznan, Mr. Paweł Dark, signed a declaration on cooperation in occupational safety.

The provisions of the agreement indicate that both institutions intend to cooperate in researching, analyzing and promoting issues related to labour protection in the field of engineering and technical sciences, exact sciences, social sciences and related areas.
