5th place of the Poznan University of Technology in AD Scientific Index 2023

The scientists at our university are in the top 100 among the best in Poland. AD Scientific Index 2023 is a ranking system based on the Google Scholar database. The current list includes over 19,000 institutions (19,527), including 3,491 universities in Europe.

Among 133 Polish universities, Poznan University of Technology is ranked 5th. In the ranking for Polish universities, the employees of the Poznan University of Technology were among the top 100 of the best scientists:

Christmas is the theme of the Intercultural Café at the Poznan University of Technology

The band Poligrodzianie performed during the meeting. Students, doctoral students and employees of the Poznan University of Technology participated in the Intercultural Café. They shared their experiences of Christmas traditions in Poland, Ukraine, Iran and India.

Success of the RNApolis team in the international CASP-RNA competition

A team of researchers from the Institute of Computing Science (Faculty of Computing and Telecommunications) of Poznan University of Technology and the Department of Structural Bioinformatics at ICHB PAS, consisting of dr Maciej Antczak, dr Mariusz Popenda, dr Joanna Sarzynska, dr Tomasz Żok, and prof Marta Szachniuk, won the 3d place in CASP-RNA - the 3D RNA structure prediction competition.

Researchers of the Poznan University of Technology are winners of the awards of the Prime Minister

Jakub Zdarta and Stanisław Pabiszczak were awarded for scientific achievements and an outstanding doctoral dissertation. The team appointed by the Prime Minister decided that the scientific achievements of prof. Jakub Zdarta from the Faculty of Chemical Technology of the Poznan University of Technology, which was the basis for granting him postdoctoral degree. His research focuses on the design of biocatalytic systems and their role in biomass conversion processes and the disposal of selected environmental pollutants.

PUT students and graduates with the Marshal's Scholarship

The ceremonial gala of granting scholarships to outstanding pupils and students took place on December 6, 2022.

In Warsaw, under the honorary patronage of the Prime Minister, the second 3W Congress was held, dedicated to the innovative use of water, without which there would be no life on Earth, hydrogen, which is the future of energy, and coal in the context of new coal technologies and their potential.

The Poznan University of Technology and Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (the originator of the 3W Idea) signed a preamble regarding the establishment of the ICI 3W Interdisciplinary Innovation Center.

New courses available at EUNICE European University

As the second semester of the 2022/2023 academic year is approaching, EUNICE European University has designed a new special course offer dedicated to students from all seven partner universities. This offer covers various fields in which partner universities specialise, from Information Technology and Smart Cities, Engineering, Health to History and Social Sciences, and many more.

Prof. Jakub Zdarta from the Faculty of Chemical Technology of the Poznan University of Technology with the Polish Academy of Sciences award

The Scientific Award was granted by the 4th Division of Technical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences for a series of 18 monothematic works on the design of advanced systems for the removal of environmental micropollutants from water and sewage based on immobilized enzyme systems.
