A student of the Poznan University of Technology is the Polish Champion

On the 12th of November, during the Polish Senior Karate Championships, organized in Karpacz, Wojciech Niedziela became the Polish Champion in the individual kata competition.

“Kata is assessed on a point basis. When assessing a kata, the judges take into account: the technical correctness of the kata's movements, their order, the continuation of techniques, the pace characteristic of each kata, and the interpretation of the use of individual kata techniques”.

Distinction for Marlena Kucz, Ph.D

MARLENA KUCZ, Ph.D. AWARDED THE BADGE “For Merits to the Wielkopolska Region”

On October 20, 2023, a gala was held to celebrate CONSTRUCTION DAY 2023.

Awards and distinctions will be presented during the gala organized by the Wielkopolska Chamber of Construction. Marshal Wojciech Jankowiak honoured Marlena Kucz, Ph.D with the badge "For Merits to the Wielkopolska Region" and conveyed his wishes for the day.

The Management Board of the Greater Poland Voivodeship decided to award the distinction, as stated in Resolution No. 7250/2023 of September 28, 2023.

AKAI Camp Conference

On October 21, the AKAI Camp 2023 conference was held at the Poznan University of Technology, organized by the Academic Circle of Internet Applications. The event discussed career development in IT, including recruiter expectations, teamwork, and personal branding.

Magna Charta Universitatum

Magna Charta Universitatum is the basis of the mission and activities of universities worldwide.

The annual conference is underway, where participants discuss current challenges related to maintaining basic values and responsible service to society. Additionally, they celebrate a ceremony during which subsequent rectors sign the Magna Charta Universitatum.


This year's event is planned at the University of Lodz on October 23-25.

The Poznan University of Technology is represented by the Vice-rector for Research - prof. Wojciech Sumelka.

European Student Card

The pilot of the European Student Card (ESC) Project at the Poznan University of Technology has started! Through a year and a half of conversations between Marek Gosławski, the Deputy Chancellor of Poznan University of Technology, and representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science, we have made significant progress towards the implementation of a new project. The project, titled "Development and implementation of a pilot project aimed at developing a European Student Card (ESC) template," is now closer to becoming a reality.

EUNICE WEEKS 2023

EUNICE Weeks are cultural and sporting events promoting European culture within the EUNICE European University. The initiative has been implemented by EUNICE European University for the past three years and aims to raise awareness among students and the wider university community of its European identity by highlighting the richness and diversity of European culture and promoting European values of multilingualism, interculturalism and integration.

Installation by Piotr Uklański in the building of the Poznan University of Technology

The courtyard of the Faculty of Architecture and the Faculty of Engineering Management of the Poznań University of Technology displayed Piotr Uklański's work "The Year We Made Contact". The Musical Theatre in Poznan received the installation as a donation from Grażyna Kulczyk.

Until the new headquarters is built, it will be displayed in the building of the Poznan University of Technology.

So far, Piotr Uklański's installation has adorned the hall of the Blow Up hotel in Stary Browar, where it was on display in 2010.
