The PUT present at Central European Technology Forum CETEF22

The Central European Technology Forum CETEF22 takes place at the Congress Center of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology. CETEF is a key undertaking organized by the Polish Chamber of Commerce for High Technology in cooperation with technical universities and the high-tech industry since 2014.

This year's Forum is organized under the auspices of the European Commission and the patronage of the European Parliament, by IZTECH, the Wrocław University of Science and Technology and the Federation of Scientific and Technical Associations NOT.

AKAI Code 2022, November 4-5 at the Lecture Center of the Poznan University of Technology.

For many years, AKAI has brought together students with a passion for software engineering who can develop their passion by implementing team projects and participating in various types of events related to the IT industry.

The motto of the AKAI is "It's all about sharing!".

This year, the members decided to organize their hackathon. AKAI Code is a 24-hour marathon during which participants will implement their ideas. The theme of the first edition of AKAI Code is "The Social Influence".

14TH PLACE OF THE PUT IN THE POLISH ACADEMIC CHAMPIONSHIP. THE GALA IN LUBLIN.

The summary of the Polish Academic Championships in the academic year 2021/22 was held in Lublin. The Director of the Sports Center - Robert Rejewski, received the award for taking 14th place in last year’s competition.

During the Gala, the award for winning the gold medal in the K-4 1000m Academic World Championships in Canoeing, which took place in Bydgoszcz in September, was received by a student of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, - Marcin Nowacki (Marcin is a KS Posnania Poznań competitor).

Prof. T. Łodygowski was honoured with „The Medal of prof. Jan Szmelter”

On October 19, during the ceremonial session of the 2022 Computer Techniques in Engineering conference, prof. Tomasz Łodygowski received the "Medal of prof. Jan Szmelter ”for his scientific activity.

In the justification for the award, the outstanding achievements of the laureate in the field of development and implementation of modern computer methods in engineering, promotion of a new generation of scientific staff as well as significant organizational and propagating activity were emphasized.

THE EXHIBITION "POLISH-ESTONIAN RELATIONS 1918-1939 MEMORABILIA IN ESTONIAN ARCHIVES" OPENED AT THE WAWIZ BUILDING

The exhibition was prepared in 2018 as part of the celebration of the hundredth year of Poland regaining independence and the centenary of Estonia's independence. Two years later, the exhibition was supplemented with two charts dedicated to celebrating the centenary of establishing diplomatic relations between Poland and Estonia.

As its creators wrote: "(...) we believe that reading valuable archival documents and photographs from the interwar period will allow the viewer to see the roots and perspectives of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in full light."

RESEARCHERS FROM THE PUT AMONG THE WORLD'S MOST CITED SCIENTISTS

36 researchers of the Poznan University of Technology have made it to the world's most influential scientists list.

Thus, we recorded a 10% increase in the ranking prepared by Stanford University in cooperation with the Elsevier publishing house and SciTech Strategies, which is published in the PLOS Biology magazine. The list includes more than 100 000 scientists, who were evaluated in criteria such as the Hirsch index, number of independent citations, and place and role of the author among co-authors.
