PUT in an Alliance of Universities Supporting Energy Transition with Energa-Operator S.A.

On July 1, 2025, Poznan University of Technology joined a group of ten universities that signed a cooperation agreement with Energa-Operator S.A.

The aim of the alliance is joint action to educate future professionals and develop the technical competencies necessary for the energy and digital transformation of the Polish power sector.

The agreement expresses the intention for close cooperation between the academic sector and the energy industry in key areas such as:

Celebration of the Kakolewo Campus of Poznan University of Technology

On Monday, June 30, 2025, the Kakolewo Campus Celebration of Poznan University of Technology took place at the Kakolewo Airfield. From June 11–13, 2025, the Poznan University of Technology Choir Volantes Soni took part in the second edition of the International Choral Meetings Stetinum Cantat — a unique artistic project organized by the Opera at the Castle in Szczecin as part of the Interreg VIA Mecklenburg–Western Pomerania / Brandenburg / Poland 2021–2027 Cooperation Program.

A New Quality of Collaboration Between Science, Medicine, and Technology!

On June 24, 2025, Rector Prof. Teofil Jesionowski (Poznan University of Technology), Rector Prof. Zbigniew Krasiński (Karol Marcinkowski Medical University in Poznan), and Mr. Stanisław Szczepaniak, Deputy Director for Economic Affairs (University Clinical Hospital in Poznan), signed a letter of intent regarding collaboration in the field of modern medical technologies, scientific research, and educational initiatives.

Grand Opening of the AI Factory – PIAST-AI

The ceremonial opening of the first Artificial Intelligence Factory in Poland – PIAST-AI – took place today at the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Centre (PCSS). The event was attended by representatives from the worlds of science and technology, including delegates from Poznan University of Technology – one of the institutions co-creating this innovative consortium. On the same day, the PIAST-Q quantum computer was also inaugurated, marking another milestone in the development of research infrastructure in Poland.
