In September of last year, the Poznan University of Technology Campus at Kakolewo was officially opened.. In the latest edition of the University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP), the Poznan University of Technology took seventh place among Polish technical universities and 1185th in the world.

On December 13, 2023, the International Cooperation Department organized a special Christmas edition of the Intercultural Café. The event was honored with the presence of prof. Teofil Jesionowski - Rector of PUT, prof. Paweł Śniatała - Vice-Rector for International Relations and Magdalena Zawirska-Wolniewicz - Head of the International Relations Office, who addressed special occasional wishes to the students.

On December 13, the scientific awards of the 4th Division of Technical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences for 2023 were presented.
Among the six winners was Aleksander Hejna, PhD from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Poznan University of Technology.
The award was granted for a series of 12 works and 1 national patent on thermomechanical and chemical modification of lignocellulosic fillers and their use in polymer composites.
