From May 12 to 16, 2025, the international conference FISA – EURADWASTE 2025 & SNETP 2025 took place in Warsaw, focusing on the future of nuclear energy in Europe. The event brought together over 500 participants from Europe and beyond, making it one of the most important nuclear sector meetings of the year.

From April 7 to 11, 2025, Poznan University of Technology hosted the international conference GAMM2025 – 95th Annual Meeting of the International Association of Applied Mathematics and Mechanics.  The main organizers of the event were Prof. Mieczysław Kuczma, Assoc. Prof. Magdalena Łasecka-Plura, Prof. Tomasz Łodygowski, and Prof. Wojciech Sumelka.

On May 6, 2025, at 13:30, the official opening of the Poznan University of Technology's on-campus store “PUT Brandshop” took place.
The store is located in the University’s Lecture Centre – the heart of student life and the venue for events that attract large numbers of visitors. The shop is designed for a wide range of customers: students, staff, alumni, and participants of events held in the building.

Accessibility Begins with Principles

A group of 10 students from Poznan University of Technology qualified for the Universities of the Future project, took part in a series of workshops designed to prepare them for the implementation of their Individual Innovation Project (IPI) and its defense before the Business Team for Innovative Education (BZIK).

The workshop week took place in Ozarow Mazowiecki from May 5 to May 9, 2025. A total of 120 students from 12 Polish public universities participated, including:

Aleksandra Makiej from Poznan University of Technology Wins the Final of the EUNICE Imagine Innovation Cup!

On April 25, 2025, under the sunny skies of Finland, the final of the international EUNICE Imagine Innovation Cup – a startup idea competition – took place at the welcoming University of Vaasa (UVA). The competition gave students and doctoral candidates from eight partner universities (IPV, KAU, PUT, UC, UMONS, UNICT, UPHF, UVA) the opportunity to present their business ideas to an international jury.

On May 5, 2025, at the University of Paris, the "Choose Europe for Science" initiative was officially announced, launched at the initiative of President Emmanuel Macron and with the participation of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

This initiative responds to the need to emphasise the importance of freedom in science, the role of science in the development of civilisation, and the recognition of science as a cornerstone of democracy.
