From June 23–30, 2025, the sports facilities of Poznan University of Technology hosted another edition of the international competition for athletes with disabilities—the prestigious Poznan 2025 World Boccia Challenger.

The tournament was organised by World Boccia, the Polish Boccia Association, and Poznan University of Technology.

Athletes from 22 countries around the world took part, competing for top places in both individual and team classifications. The competition also awarded valuable ranking points toward qualification for the Paralympic Games.

Railway Challenge is a prestigious competition organized annually by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) in England. It takes place on the Stapleford Miniature Railway track, and this year’s edition was held on June 26–29, 2025. The competition is aimed at student teams and industry apprentices tasked with designing and building a miniature locomotive operating on a 10¼-inch gauge track, capable of competing in a series of technical and presentation challenges.

On July 1, 2025, Poznan University of Technology joined a group of ten universities that signed a cooperation agreement with Energa-Operator S.A.

The aim of the alliance is joint action to educate future professionals and develop the technical competencies necessary for the energy and digital transformation of the Polish power sector.

On Monday, June 30, 2025, the Kakolewo Campus Celebration of Poznan University of Technology took place at the Kakolewo Airfield. The event brought together numerous guests representing government and local administration, the university, partner institutions, and the local community. From June 11–13, 2025, the Poznan University of Technology Choir Volantes Soni took part in the second edition of the International Choral Meetings Stetinum Cantat — a unique artistic project organized by the Opera at the Castle in Szczecin as part of the Interreg VIA Mecklenburg–Western Pomerania / Brandenburg / Poland 2021–2027 Cooperation Program.

On June 24, 2025, Rector Prof. Teofil Jesionowski (Poznan University of Technology), Rector Prof. Zbigniew Krasiński (Karol Marcinkowski Medical University in Poznan), and Mr. Stanisław Szczepaniak, Deputy Director for Economic Affairs (University Clinical Hospital in Poznan), signed a letter of intent regarding collaboration in the field of modern medical technologies, scientific research, and educational initiatives.

The ceremonial opening of the first Artificial Intelligence Factory in Poland – PIAST-AI – took place today at the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Centre (PCSS). The event was attended by representatives from the worlds of science and technology, including delegates from Poznan University of Technology – one of the institutions co-creating this innovative consortium. On the same day, the PIAST-Q quantum computer was also inaugurated, marking another milestone in the development of research infrastructure in Poland.
