Symposium "State Science Policy – Session 3: Research Funding"

The change in the model of cooperation between the Ministry and the academic community involves preceding the drafting and consultation of the State Science Policy with a series of working sessions dedicated to discussing areas worth considering when setting priorities. Each session is held at a different academic centre, and two final ones, hosted at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, will conclude with recommendations for the team that will be appointed to draft the State Science Policy (SSP).

Prof. Mariusz Głąbowski Appointed to the KRASP Cybersecurity Team

We are pleased to announce that Prof. Mariusz Głąbowski, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at Poznan University of Technology, has been appointed to the Cybersecurity Team operating under the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (KRASP).

The team, composed of experts representing leading Polish universities, will focus on key issues related to cybersecurity in higher education.

Study in Poland Conference 2025

The conference Foreign Students in Poland 2025, organised as part of the Study in Poland programme, has already gone down in history. This year's edition was hosted by the University of Gdansk, and Poznan University of Technology was represented by His Magnificence the Rector, Prof. Teofil Jesionowski, the Vice Rector for International Relations, Prof. Mariusz Głąbowski, as well as representatives of the International Relations Office and the EUNICE European University Office.

Grand Prix for the Poznan University of Technology Choir Volantes Soni

The Poznan University of Technology Choir Volantes Soni achieved spectacular success, winning the Grand Prix of the 12th International Rzeszow Festival of Christmas Carols and Pastorals, which took place on January 25, 2025, in Rzeszow. The jury, consisting of prof. Anna Marek-Kamińska, Prof. Włodzimierz Siedlik and Prof. Elżbieta Krzemińska awarded the choir 99 out of a possible 100 points, which ensured the highest distinction of the festival.

Poznan University of Technology has signed a cooperation agreement with Koleje Wielkopolskie

On January 21, 2025, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Poznan University of Technology, represented by the Rector, prof. Teofil Jesionowski, and Koleje Wielkopolskie  represented by the President of the Management Board Marek Nitkowski and Member of the Management Board Mikołaj Grzyb.

PUT STEM DAY 2025 - SUMMARY

On January 10, 2025, the first edition of the international conference PUT STEM Day 2025, organized by the Poznan University of Technology, was held. PUT STEM 2025 is an interdisciplinary event designed for students and PhD candidates to share knowledge and ideas across various fields of STEM. The goal is to encourage collaboration between disciplines such as chemistry, physics, engineering, mathematics, computer science, and electrical engineering.
