During Stay

1. Registration of residence (Rejestracja pobytu)

For a stay shorter than three months there are no formal requirements.

However,  studies take longer.

The EU students need to register they stay in the Wielkopolska Voivodship Office (Wielkopolski Urząd Wojewódzki) at the Liberty Square (plac Wolności). It is necessary to present personally.

The non- EU students may stay in Poland on basis of the visa.

 

Health Care

1) STUDENTS FROM EU/EEA COUNTRIES 

a) public health care
Healthcare in Poland is available for students from the EU/EEA countries, provided that they hold valid medical insurance in the national insurance system of their country. A valid passport, student Identity Card or doctoral student Identity Card and a valid European Health Insurance Card (Europejska Karta Ubezpieczenia Zdrowotnego) entitles its holder to medical care services free of charge in Poland.

ESN

Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is a non-profit international student organisation. The main mission is to represent international students, thus provide opportunities for cultural understanding and self-development under the principle of Students Helping Students.

Accommodation

1) Accommodation at PUT dormitories

Piotrowo Campus has over 2200 places having access to the Internet, modern student canteen, outdoor basketball court and football pitch, grilling garden.

It is located 2-3 minutes from the University and only 10 minutes walk away from the Old Market Square and Malta Lake and 10 minutes by tram from the railway station.

The rooms are double, with a bathroom and a shared kitchen. All dormitories are heated and furnished. Cooking utensils are not supplied. There is a laundry and some parking place.

 

Orientation Week

One week before the beginning of the academic year, in the second half of September or February, there is an Orientation Week for the International Students. During the week you will take part in a Polish language course, free sports activities with other Erasmus students, two trips, one Poznan sightseeing tour and one to a town in the suburbs of our city. You will also receive information on Polish culture and what is the most important you can meet and integrate with other Erasmus students. The participation in the activities is free and not obligatory.
