The National Science Centre has announced the results of the MAESTRO 14 and SONATA BIS 16 competitions.
We are pleased to inform you that the Director of the National Science Centre has awarded funding for the project titled:
"Development of One-Pot Cascaded Multi-Enzyme Systems for the Sustainable Synthesis of Pharmaceutically Active Compounds,"
led by Assoc. Prof. Jakub Zdarta, from the Faculty of Chemical Technology.
As the only Polish technical university represented at the event, PUT took part in the "Study in Poland" initiative, alongside three other Polish academic institutions.
An international research team led by Assoc. Prof. Piotr Sielicki has received support from the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) for the implementation of the project titled "Chachapoyas Funerary Traditions: Interdisciplinary Research Methods in the Process of Registering and Protecting Peru’s National Heritage."

Nearly one hundred outstanding representatives of the scientific and higher education community received the Minister's Awards yesterday during the Polish Science Gala.
The awards are presented in five categories:
Scientific Activity Award
The award in the scientific activity category was granted to researchers from the Faculty of Environmental Engineering and Energy:
On February 14, 2025, a ceremonial Gala of the Perspektywy 2025 Greater Poland Ranking of High Schools and Technical Schools was held at the Lecture Centre of Poznan University of Technology. The event brought together representatives from academia, local government authorities, and most importantly, principals and students from the best secondary schools in Greater Poland.
Prof. Katarzyna Rzeszut, and Assoc. Prof. Marlena Kucz were awarded in the EDUCATION category at the level of vocational and higher education, as well as for promoting the latest technological, structural, and material solutions in construction for the years 2023–2024. They received the Roger Sławski Statuette awarded by the Greater Poland Chamber of Construction.
Prof. Tomasz Łodygowski from the Faculty of Civil and Transport Engineering, has been honoured with the Roger Sławski Statuette in the “Wielkopolska Person of the Year in Construction” category for the year 2023–2024. The award is presented by the Wielkopolska Chamber of Construction.
The change in the model of cooperation between the Ministry and the academic community involves preceding the drafting and consultation of the State Science Policy with a series of working sessions dedicated to discussing areas worth considering when setting priorities. Each session is held at a different academic centre, and two final ones, hosted at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, will conclude with recommendations for the team that will be appointed to draft the State Science Policy (SSP).
We are pleased to announce that Prof. Mariusz Głąbowski, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at Poznan University of Technology, has been appointed to the Cybersecurity Team operating under the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (KRASP).
The team, composed of experts representing leading Polish universities, will focus on key issues related to cybersecurity in higher education.
